Salinas Police Chief Louis Fetherolf

How long has Mr. Fetherolf been on the job? And yet he requires an outside consultant to conduct a “resource allocation study?” Doesn’t this make him incompetent? What was HE hired for? It is obvious the mayor has no clue and the newly hired police chief is the wrong man for the job.

Now the taxpayers are supposed to pony-up more tax funds to cover their incompetence. I say absolutely not! When Mr. Fetherolf was hired this function was expected of him; he wasn’t hired with the understanding that an outside consultant was a necessary part of the deal. If he is not up to the job then I expect for him to man-up, admit his initiations and submit his resignation, the mayor as well. We have no time for incompetence, for people who’s only answer to every problem is taxing the electorate, or on the job training.
