Below is the opening to a query letter to publishers about an idea I have for a new book. I decided to publish it here to illustrate what I've been in to recently since I haven't contributed much very frequently lately. Thanks for the opportunity to use this site to post my ideas.

If it is God’s will this book will be from the outset a spear with which to pierce the body of the neo-pagan franchise on American spirituality. The product of my childhood upon my mind included very little by way of academic neural mapping, and heavy emphasis was made on subtle yet powerful patronization. In fact I made my living being able to determine the best way to touch the hearts of others. Communications skills and the mastery of the English language could be found in my way of life from my earliest days.
The experiences which make up my sense of reality frequently consisted of adults lacking righteousness. Expectations are that a frame of mind grounded in the flesh is common amongst my generation, and throughout this book allusions to the complex social deviations which cause it will be brought to light through God’s grace. Privilege is not an issue, however the creator provided me with four years of religious studies in one of America’s original Christian orthodoxies during high school. Thus because of these influences and early childhood experiences with a nurtured linguistic life one of the skills the Lord has manifested in me is the ability to express myself using language. My sincerest prayer is that the following literature will lead readers to experience a fresh sense of reality by the power of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Computer and information science was my original college major, and I finished my B.S. in Information Technology from University of Phoenix 11 years after getting an A.A. in 1999 from Hartnell Community College in my home town of Salinas, CA. By living for so much of my life by way of oratory patronage the brain maps required to achieve the necessary mathematics skills to fulfill the lower division, much less upper division math requirements for my college degree were severely under-developed when I graduated high school. Because of my lack of mathematics skills I was required to take six years of mathematics in order to graduate with my B.S. Five and a half of those years were spent attending full time at Hartnell Community College. Coming from a low socio-economic status the federal government paid for all of my lower division college, but to get the grants I was required to carry full time classes continually. So, while taking a math class every semester for 6 years I began my scholastic journey to locate and access my own inner power and control as well as pursue my career choice in computer and information science and technology.
Under the direction of Dr. Lucindi Mooney I investigated a large sampling of Native American literature and religion. My thought at the time was that if those cultures could survive through the Indian Wars the tribes and their elders must possess some great power, and the individual warriors had to have a kind of personal control that was not present in American society, or at least it was something I had not experienced. Dr. Mooney trained me in symbology, archetypes, and the collective unconscious following a strict Jungian aim. The papers I produced during that particular academic exploration delved deeply into the ideas of hereditary spirituality, and a random universe which theoretically causes the human mind to strive outside of rational thought to help make sense of it all. This is what I came to know as the effect of religious faith on the psychosocial character of human life.
In the last year I have been born again in Jesus. Bible studies permeate every day of my life. The personal relationship with Jesus that by his grace I have grown to count on and depend on, transformed my thinking so dramatically that about six months ago I had a remapping take place within my brain that re-painted much of the studies which I had undergone during my early academic pursuits. In particular, the book “BLACK ELK SPEAKS, BEING THE LIFE OF A HOLY MAN OF THE OGLALA SIOUX”, by John G. Neihardt has taken on an entirely different meaning to me. The content of this book will form the basis for my thesis that Christianity is irrefutable concerning the word of God described in the Gospel of John in his recount of the words of Jesus in John 3:16; “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. One of the conclusions which occurred to me through my experiences pertains to the omnivalent character of the Almighty God, and his ultimate sacrifice for all the people of the world.
As is so frequently the case in modern culture, the auspices for an ever-expanding independence from God broke down so conspicuously that neo-paganism sprung up in the place of the hedonism that took such a mighty hold on the flattened world during the latter half of the twentieth century. The style of writing drafted by John Neihardt and innumerable contemporary authors now in the twenty-first century retains a sense of credibility because much of the content was direct observation taken of Native Americans, and other non-Christian societies. However, the writing is highly biased away from the principals inherent in God’s nature. Our society has since undergone such a great moral and spiritual degradation because authors and publishers continue to fill in the blanks left bare by anthropological investigations of Mr. Neihardt with false accounts of God’s work from the neo-pagan perspective. The Lord has impressed upon my heart to tie down the shifting load of this modern information-age society with the buffalo hide ropes of God’s word and what is really meant by Black Elk’s Great Vision.
Explore this work to relieve the influence created by the ever-increasing bastion of anti-Christian conflagration that was lit by authors in the early sixties who hate what is asked of us by the law and covenant of Jesus. Through the sacrifice of Jesus God our salvation and everlasting life has been made possible. The vision given to Black Elk happened because of God’s will for the world. His love is so great that evidently the Holy Spirit was enlisted to speak to Black Elk concerning the way to salvation in both this life and the next for him and his tribe. I am interested in respecting his wish that the truth of his Great Vision be shared to those who have the eyes to see and the ears to hear that God is great, and Jesus came to provide salvation to the whole earth.

Good going Don!
I think you will do very well and I applaud your effort to become part of the literary world. With a determination, a grasp of intellectual elitist stumbling blocks ahead of you, and being resolute in your step by step research and development of your product I know you will be very successful.
There is one request I would like to make of you…I would like a signed autographed copy.
