Left-leaning New York Times economic columnist Paul Krugman says the so-called "death panels" established by President Obama's trillion-dollar nationalized health-care plan will end up saving "a lot of money" for the government.

The comments from Krugman, who also writes on the New York Times blogs, came during a discussion of "Obamacare" on the ABC News Sunday program "This Week."

Democrats Accused of Trying to 'Intimidate' Firms for Airing Health Care ConcernsThe CEOs of some of the country's biggest companies are being summoned to Washington to defend claims that the health care reform law would cost them millions -- a move Republicans say amounts to intimidation.

Democratic Rep. Henry Waxman, chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, on Friday fired off letters to the heads of Caterpillar, Verizon, AT&T and Deere after they and other firms reported that the health care overhaul would dig deep into their bottom lines.

GOP Sees Risks in Push to Repeal Health Law
AP

WASHINGTON -- Top Republicans are increasingly worried that GOP candidates this fall might be burned by a fire that's roaring through the conservative base: demand for the repeal of President Barack Obama's new health care law.

It's fine to criticize the health law and the way Democrats pushed it through Congress without a single GOP vote, these party leaders say. But focusing on its outright repeal carries two big risks.

Once a socialist/communist dictator gets into power, like terminal cancer he and his administration smother and take control of every aspect of the economy, educational system, health care system and military

Obamacare is just the beginning of a total take over of America
By Dr. Laurie Roth Tuesday, March 30, 2010

America must not and will not become like the seduced German people in 1933. We will not stand by and watch Obama turn our country into Frankenstein’s laboratory, shredding our constitution, bill of rights and freedom as Hitler did with his country.

The Obamanation called Obamacare
Page after Page of Reasons to Hate Obamacare
By Alan Caruba Sunday, July 26, 2009

Here are just a few very good reasons to hate Obamacare:

As those who can still think on their own know, ObamaCare has little-to-nothing to do with either health or the care of others. It has everything to do with control by the ObamaGov over the people of the country.

This is how I see the Democrat party. (includes Krugman's disturbing & pathetic argument to euthanize/kill our seniors)

I AGREE. MY WIFE AND I HAVE SOME GREAT DOCTORS, THEY SHOW CARE AND CONCERN, THEY TAKE THEIR TIME AND DON’T RUSH US THROUGH, THEY TREAT US AS FRIENDS. OUR FAMILY DOCTOR TOLD US NOT TO WORRY, HE’LL BE THERE FOR US, THAT MEANS A LOT.

There's a trend developing here. The proponents of health care legislation are envious of the pay scale that is available in the medical profession. People like this Krugman creep have had to pay a doctor more than he makes and has translated that reality to his own perception. This perception is shared by many of the selfish, self-centered, narcissistic, and egotistical people in the media. The only way to support this concept of the "death panel" is to assume that doctors are not capable of selecting the best course of treatment for their patients. In other words, what they're saying here is that doctors are in the business of ripping people off by prescribing medicine and procedures which will not help them to survive. After all the care my family and I have received from competent doctors here in the Salinas valley, I strongly disagree with that idea. I've even had doctors describe rehabilitation procedures to me to prevent me from going to physical therapy on severe injuries; like 2 broken ankles. That saved me hundreds of dollars, and if I would have had insurance at the time then the insurance company would have benefited from it as well.

How totally cynical can people be. I can see the hate and greed in the eyes of these people every time they open their mouths. This is the real fight. Supporting the American health care system means standing up for our doctors; the people who have saved our lives and relieved our pain time after time over the years. Are there inefficiencies, sure there are, but with better investment in training and education for those going into and employed in the medical field they can be mitigated. Lack of faith is a plague.
