Mike's Hike: A Blind Hiker's Appalachian Trail Journey

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95Y-uVZNjrQ&feature=player_embedded

Mike Hanson is completely blind. In March he will begin an 8 month through-hike of the 2,187 mile Appalachian Trail using only a white cane and GPS technology to navigate his way. Mike's Hike, and the associated documentary, will make a dramatic statement about the independence of visually impaired individuals and how adaptive technology can greatly enhance that independence. This is a 5 minute informational and fundraising video. For more information or to make a donation please visit www.blindhiker.com. Thank you to all who have already provided support!
