This use to be a joke when talking about politicians levying taxes, now it’s becoming a reality, there is nothing in our lives that is not cursed with a tax. We have fallen into the endless pit of socialism and are sinking, almost without concern, into the depths of marxism / communism, we will wake up one morning to a dictatorship and our Constitutional Republic will be gone, people will finally realize to late, that what they have so apathetically allowed to happen goes against human nature.
Isn't it funny that all it may take to stop this nightmare, this downward spiral into marxist hell, is the simple inspection of B. Os. original, vaulted birth certificate and the people finally becoming frustrated enough over being played the fool, to vote out the rest of the human debris corrupting our political system. The problem is, I’m afraid, commonsense is in intensive care and the death rattle of patriotism can be heard in the hallways.
Woodrow Wilson said, "Liberty has never come from the government. Liberty has always come from the subjects of the government. The history of government is a history of resistance. The history of liberty is the history of the limitation of government, not the increase of it.” Taking this into consideration how much liberty have we lost already?
Ronald Reagan said, "Public officials are elected primarily for one purpose -- to solve public problems. You have a right to ask any candidate about his understanding of the problems facing us, his acceptance of responsibility for solving those problems, and whether he has a fresh approach or just offers the same old bargain-basement politics -- 'We'll do everything the other fellow's been doing, only we'll do it cheaper and better.' You have a right to know.” We no longer even care to ask. How many in-depth questions demanding reasoned answers were actually asked during the last election that gave us B. O?
John Quincy Adams told us to "Always stand on principle, even if you stand alone.” How many principled politicians do you see out there on the landscape today?
Benjamin Rush was quoted as saying, "Patriotism is as much a virtue as justice, and is as necessary for the support of societies as natural affection is for the support of families.” I submit that the foundational structure of this country is crumbling.
Thomas Jefferson said, "To take a single step beyond the boundaries thus specially drawn around the powers of Congress [in the Constitution], is to take possession of a boundless field of power, not longer susceptible of any definition.” We have drifted far from the boundaries of our Constitution but how many actually realize it? How many graduating from our school system today, over the last couple of decades, have ever been taught the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence or any of the founding documents?
In 1945, World War II ended in Europe, when German emissaries entered a schoolhouse in Reims, France, where General Dwight Eisenhower had his headquarters, and signed an unconditional surrender. The War in Europe had lasted five and half years and cost tens of millions of lives. After the war Eisenhower was elected the 34th President by the largest number of votes in history. He stated: "Without God there could be no American form of government or way of life. Recognition of the Supreme Being is the most basic expression of Americanism.” Now look at things today, showing the Ten Commandments on public property is prohibited, having a Bible displayed on your desk in some public offices is not allowed and using the name of Jesus Christ, except as a swear word, will bring indignation and reprisal in parts of this country.
Pursuant to Phyllis Johnson, "One of Communism's greatest successes has been in convincing so many Americans capitalism is evil and also it is sobering to realize most things the American Communist Party advocated in the last century have been achieved by progressive Democrats.” Personally I couldn't agree more, just look around you, take off the sun glasses and let the light of truth expose the quagmire we are in.
Liberals want high taxes, not in order to improve the economy, but in order to expand government and reduce economic inequality. Therefore, the obvious economic benefits of lower taxes do not much interest liberals... One wonders if ever before in history such a large number of people had such a clear view of the consequences of their policies, and despite the failure of those policies, continued to devote their lives to enacting them and so few took a stand to oppose them.
I'll close with this quote from Justice John Marshall, "An unlimited power to tax involves, necessarily, a power to destroy; because there is a limit beyond which no institution and no property can bear taxation. ( “The power to tax involves the power to destroy.” )
