observed the democrats patting her on the back, laughing, cajoling and full of platitudes, perfect example is Sen. Leahy. I observed no Constitutionally directed questioning.
On the other hand I observed hard questioning coming from many of the Republicans, perfect example is Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama. He, through hard questioning, caught her in a lie, as Dean of Harvard, about allowing military recruiters on campus. He showed how she has done little or nothing as a judge. He showed how she is a judicial activist. He showed how she lacks any kind of experience necessary for such a position as Supreme Court Judge. He showed how she hasn’t written anything of consequence.
Throughout the hearings it was brought out how she is for assisted suicide. She is in favor of the application of foreign law in some cases. She questions the fullness of the 1st. Amendment.
Why are they still questioning this Obama shill, she is a carbon copy of BO, she has no experience, no paper trail, but oh, she’s a nice lady to talk to so that qualifies her for a life appointment to the Supreme Court. We see the suffering caused through the last election, do we honestly want to repeat that mistake.
The vote on the 2nd. Amendment narrowly squeaked through on a 5-4 vote the other day, it should have been 9-0. If that doesn’t open peoples eyes to the complete freedoms we are all close to losing then nothing will, except the nomination of Kagan to the Supreme Court, that will cinch it. I had hoped this country would have learned with Sotomayor, but, it never ceases to amaze me just how incredibly blind so many of us are.---“Los Angeles Times” June 08, 2010By David G. Reporting from Washington — The early returns are in, and Justice Sonia Sotomayor is proving herself to be a reliable liberal vote on the Supreme Court.
Cases this year on campaign speech, religion, juvenile crime, federal power and Miranda warnings resulted in an ideological split among the justices, and on every occasion, Sotomayor joined the liberal bloc. We are about to lose our country and we stand as if dumb (and I mean really dumb) and blind up against a firing wall waiting ignorantly for the deafening blast that will end it all. The Trojan Horse has been allowed in and it’s militant horde is rampaging through the country and the halls of government, taking aim at our Constitution as though with an axe while as onlookers, amazed and/or just plain apathetic, so many of us stand by and do nothing.
May God have mercy on this country and protect us from ourselves.

Supreme Court nomination hearing for Elena Kagan, President Obama's nominee
Senator Jeff Sessions
I observed the democrats patting her on the back, laughing, cajoling and full of platitudes, perfect example is Sen. Leahy. I observed no Constitutionally directed questioning.
Thank you for your patriotism, thank you for your questioning of Elena Kagan. The Republican National Committee thought that there may be a filibuster against Kagan’s nomination. I fully support this, it may not be successful against a democratic party enraptured in its own power but at least it will be a stand for conviction. A filibuster like that of “ Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939),” about a man, Jeff Smith (James Stewart), who stood on conviction and made a difference.
Please filibuster this nominee, show the country there is something worth fighting for/worth fighting against.
Respectfully;

I hope for all our sakes the people of this country wake up out of the stupor they are in.

Nothing irritates me more than people who talk around in circles and use divisive language to keep from directly answering questions. Speech is an act of the mind, and must be a result of activity that takes place within the thoughts of the speaker. Any adult person will recognize that everything that a person says or writes is absolutely constructed within the conscious mind at precisely the moment in which is it expressed. What this means is that people like this Elena Kagan understand that we who oppose her stance on so many subjects have valid arguments against her opinion, and her response is to ignore our civil volition so that she may further her liberal agenda. What angers me is that people like her and Obama have made double-talk and fallacies an art form for the express purpose of disposing us of our freedom.During my earlier college years I spent several semesters studying Native American literature. Of course, being young, I came at it all wrong and formed some erroneous opinions from what I learned. Putting that aside, I have come to the sense that what was discussed amongst the elders and warriors of several of the tribes such as the Apache, Lakota, and Cherokee having to do with their not quite believing what the American government was telling them is coming full circle on us. I'm not going to write an essay on it here, but whenever I think about what's going on in this Democratic controlled congress and Executive branch I can't help but hear the voices of my elders telling me to be careful because they have not shown me any reason to believe anything they are saying. I see a close parallel between the transformation that took place in the mid to late 1800s with the Indian cultures, and with our own 21st century American culture. In both cases our religion and tradition are used against us with platitudes and lies founded upon what we believe to be true and right, and then getting the rug pulled out from under us once everyone gets on-board (2008 election). Obviously, the people running the country were completely different in the late 1800s, and would never have done those things to the same degree to their fellow Christian Americans (nobody’s perfect), but times have changed, and so has the mindset of the constituencies and their leaders. Now, I wouldn’t put it past this government to make a new “trail of tears.” I guess there is one good thing about having the Chinese threatening to attack at some point in the next 10 years; the elite can’t pursue their final solution without getting military backlash, which will seriously degrade their ability to defend their selves. Therefore, it will not be until they have the armed forces completely brainwashed (think Obama scholars) that they can get their final solution back on track.
