My Health Care Call To Boxer's Washington Office Today
Thursday, Feb 25, 2010

At app. 7:30am I decided to call Barbara Boxer’s office in Washington concerning this healthcare fiasco that the democrats keep regurgitating . I spoke to the man answering the phone. I explained the reason for my call and that I’m retired from the county, I have Medicare and Blue Cross and my monthly healthcare cost is $700 for my wife and I. Blue Cross advised me that there is no ceiling on how much they can keep increasing their costs. So #1 contain costs to a reasonable level. I explained that people my age are also concerned about catastrophic illness but the cost for such insurance is beyond what most people can even think about, so #2 do something about the catastrophic care problem.

I told him that people like those you are answering the phone for think nothing of such costs but the majority of the rest of us do. I was answered with a snicker. I asked how dare he sit there and answer the phone, for a career politician, taking calls from the voters and derisively laugh. Then he brought up my comment about career politicians, I told him it was never intended for politicians to go to Washington and make a career of it, staying there for a lifetime, continued laughter, I advised him to check back in the history of this country and the comments of the “Founding Father’s. I said you may simply delete this but the reason I called are for the two points I mentioned and for the democrats to stop trying to socialize our country and destroy the best health care system in the world. I hung up to more snickering.

I really do think the government owes a lot to retired people. Children are for charity to care for, not government. This is especially true of those produced specifically to become the new age family breadwinners like many found in Monterey County. Those people sitting in their offices are so puckered up over the coming elections that they are taking their frustration out on anyone who isn't calling to blow sunshine up their legislators. What you experienced is the real us against attitude that the senators and representatives have. That's how they get the campaign contributions, by making people believe they will actually hurt the people they don't agree with. It's the sickest and most twisted form of government money can buy.
