Everything about the rain is amazing! Before the storm the air takes on a certain undeniable feeling. It takes on a distinct odor, the clouds begin to gather in a menacing wonderfully fantastic way. Then there is the lull and BAM!! Nature is let loose. I especially love the thunder, the rolling of it, the majesty of it and the brilliance of the lightening as it flashes its dominance across the sky’s.
Following the storm the air is wonderfully clean, everything has a fresh, clean and inviting desirability.
Haven’t you ever been under a tin roof and heard the rain, or in your car and heard the rain as it pounds away announcing its presence?
Then walking in the rain, a warm rain is like a relaxing bath, a cold rain tapping at your raincoat is exhilarating.
After the rain fishermen love to go fishing as that’s when the fish are biting. As a young man I use to dig my bait and have all my gear ready at the approach of a storm. Yes the rain is a wonderful and beautiful thing, then there are the other benefits that come from its adding water to our lakes, brooks and wells and providing the thirsty tress and bushes a cool and refreshing drink.
Then to top it off, God's promise revealed in His rainbow.
Yes, I love the rain…Gordon Avery, Monday April 19th. 2010 / 754AM

Oh yeah I LIKE the rain, but like I mentioned, I hate walking in it, and of course I was talking about picking up my daughter from school. She goes to Kamman and I walk the 7 blocks to get her. These crazed selfish parent drivers have no consideration or any intelligent ability to drive....in the sun and it's worse in the rain. Plus, you throw in a hyper happy 7 year old who loves to run in the rain & it's a dangerous situtation. I don't like to drive because I have glaucoma & I feel it's safer I am on the sidewalk than dealing with these inept drivers on the road.
Other than that....my youngest girl & I will sit by the window and watch the rain!
It's supposed to be raining the next couple of days....oh dear God help me!
