I happened upon a very well written piece by Thomas Sowell and thought it would be of interest to everyone.
Record Vs. Rhetoric
Obama vs. Palin.

Sen. Joe Biden says if they are elected to expect trouble. He doesn’t say McCain will expect trouble, why should he, how could he, McCain has already been tested.
That’s all we need, we are fighting two wars, trying to fix the economy and then there is the issue of Israel. If McCain/Palin win Israel will have no reason to make a huge military strike against Iran, they know McCain will stand by them. On the other hand if B. O. wins Israel will have no choice but to strike while President Bush is still at the helm. Israel knows that B. O. will cast them aside.
Then is everyone ready for whatever B. O. does as far as Iraq is concerned? Everything he says states that he will withdraw our troops precipitously even if it means in dishonor.
Then there is the little matter that involves “From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.” Is everyone really ready for that?
“ABC News' Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.
"Mark my words," the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy.”
