Farr's Town Hall Meeting In Salinas

I sent the following to Mark Carbonaro at KION this morning, Sept. 01, 2009. I was not able to be at the meeting but did manage to listen to a large portion of it on the radio.

Good morning Mark and Jim

I didn’t hear the whole so-called question and answer session with Farr but that which I did listen to was so dull, in my opinion, it damn near put me to sleep. To be ignorant of one's ignorance truly is the malady of the ignorant as demonstrated by those at the town hall meeting last night.

Those who asked questions did so as though they were in the presence of royalty, it was sickening. He went there with his mind made up, he made it painfully clear that he is voting for this atrocity of a healthcare bill whether the people want it or not.

The people asking the questions were woefully prepared, almost apologetic that he should have to listen to them. Where were the strong outburst of emotion, where were the yelling crowds bent on preserving what’s left of our great system? Those in attendance sounded like fawning school children, I eventually couldn’t take it anymore and shut the radio off.

You two have been going over the proposed healthcare bill, I have been fighting it in my Blog in the Californian, there is no reason why the people weren’t ready for a good knock down drag out fight. Farr never worked up a sweat, I was actually screaming into the radio you lying bag of excrement.

I’m afraid it is lost, never a question on the Constitutionality of forcing us into this thing against our will. The questions began on page 16 but the people hadn’t read anything, what a bunch of brain-dead sheep and these sheep can vote us straight into socialism. Never a word brought up about President Reagan’s prophetic warning about healthcare and socialism as far back as 1961, hell Farr was oblivious of what had happened in Hawaii and Massachusetts with their experiment in socialized medicine.

Not one word on the 3 or 4 Republican healthcare bills.

As Reagan once asked, "Are you willing to spend time studying the issues, making yourself aware, and then conveying that information to family and friends? Will you resist the temptation to get a government handout for your community? Realize that the doctor's fight against socialized medicine is your fight. We can't socialize the doctors without socializing the patients. Recognize that government invasion of public power is eventually an assault upon your own business. If some among you fear taking a stand because you are afraid of reprisals from customers, clients, or even government, recognize that you are just feeding the crocodile hoping he'll eat you last."

The fact that government does nothing as well or as economically as the private sector of the economy is lost on Farr. He could care less about the examples of Canada, England or France or the warnings to us, including those from Daniel Hannon.

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened."

Comment by Josie on September 1, 2009 at 12:07pm These sheeple voted for Obama. They didn't realize what a tyrannical ogre he is. Now, they're walking in lockstep with the Commie in chief unaware of what he's doing.

I always thought that this ObamaCare infringes in the 10th Amendment. Obama doesn't care, he's tearing up other parts of the Constitution too!
